Stepping inside Lida Group’s flagship prefab home factory in Nanxun is akin to entering a high-tech aircraft assembly plant. Spread across 1.5 million square meters, the facility houses over 800 robotic machines and workstations strategically arranged along an integrated production line powered by renewable energy sources.

We begin our tour at the panel component fabrication area where digital designs are converted into physical reality. Precisely programmed CNC routers meticulously cut rigid thermoplastic skins and rigid foam cores to engineering tolerances of less than 1mm. Quality checks verify cut dimensions and surface finishes meet standards.

Robotic arms then transfer skins and cores to an automatic lamination cell. Here, computer controlled clamps and heaters precision-bond the components using water-based adhesives that fully cure within minutes without releasing toxic fumes. Non-destructuve tests ensure void-free bonds achieving superior strength.

Nearby, another bank of robots vacuum Lifa sandwich panel components through proprietary Thermoforming techniques. Using controlled heat and pressure, the aluminum skins take on complex curved shapes for ceilings and walls within set cycle times. Vacuum formed edges interlock neighboring pieces for rapid on-site assembly.

Customers consult virtual 3D building models to personalize home designs. Consultants input selections for panel configurations, windows, finishes and integrated smart home technologies. Behind the scenes, algorithms translate selections into cutting programs driving the CNC machines with millimeter precision.

Moving to final assembly, we observe truss components, wall and roof cassettes, pre-plumbed bathrooms and pre-wired electrical stations robotically joining predefined Lifa panel sub-assemblies. Whereas constructing such modules by hand takes many labors over a weeks, robots complete the tasks in just hours.

Quality assurance inspectors then subject finished modules through stringent non-destructive testing using ultrasound and X-ray machines. Certifications prove structural integrity and moisture/airtightness prior to unit packaging. Sensors embedded during assembly automatically upload inspection results to cloud databases.

In the edge tech clean room, additive manufacturing nozzles 3D print durable composite trim pieces on site minimizing waste. Simultaneously, laser cutters shape finished metals and stonework. Prefabricated windows, doors arrive just-in-time for rapid installation.

The packaging station shrink wraps finished units loaded onto trucks via overhead gantry robots. GPS and RFID track shipments destined for construction sites across China. on-board sensors transmit condition data ensuring components remain undamaged during transport.

As our tour concludes, the factory buzzes with production lines fabricating over 100 homes simultaneously. Advanced digital fabrication and modular assembly techniques promise homeowners move-in ready structures in mere weeks. Through lean manufacturing principles, Lida Group delivers high quality sandwiches panel prefab architecture at unmatched scale, efficiency and affordability.
